Mary Kathryn "Kat" Priest, 75, of Okeechobee, died Monday, April 24,2006, in Fort Pierce. Kat was born in Vero Beach on September 8, 1930, daughter of Claudie Arthur Priest and Iris Law Priest.
She was a graduate of Fort Pierce High School, class of 1949.
Kat was a retired Registered Nurse. She worked as an RN in Fort Pierce Memorial Hospital, H. H. Raulerson Hospital, Okeechobee, Sebastian Medical Center, Roseland, and several doctor's offices.
Kat was a member of the Florida Nurses Association and the Treasure Island Baptist Church.
Survivors include her siblings, Margaret Priest Borland of Fort Pierce, Betty Priest Helseth of Fort Pierce, Wanda Priest Rucks of Okeechobee and Nick C. Priest of Fort Pierce; 13 nieces and nephews; 25 great nieces and nephews; 7 great-great nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be from the graveside, Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Fort Pierce, 10:00 a.m., Thursday, April 27th.
