Obituary

Only son of David and Emily Weeks was born in Penfield, New York, Sept. 3, 1848. He came to Michigan in May 1869 at the age of 21. He was united in marriage to Gerturde R. Grow, Oct. 31 of the same year.

They settled on the farm where they have always lived, excepting the last six winters, they have spent in Florida. To this union ten children were born, five boys and five girls. The eldest, Hilton D., died in infancy.

He will be greatly missed, by his relatives and friends, and also many resorters, who knew him at Murray Lake, as Dad.

He leaves to morn their loss, his wife, nine children, thirty one grandhcildren, and four great grandhcildren. Two sisters, Ruth in Rochester, New York and Emma at her summer cottage at Murray Lake, and two half brothers, Jay and George Frost of Moseley.

He passed to his heavenly home on Saturday afternoon at 2:45 o'clock at the age of 71 years, 11 months and 4 days. Burial at Alton Cemetary, August 10th. Elder Cochrun officiating.
