COSHOCTON — Betty Jane Besst, 87, of Tomahawk Lane, Coshocton, died April 24, 2006, at the Coshocton County Memorial Hospital.
She was born Jan. 3, 1919, in Coshocton County to Elmer R. and Velma A. (Porter) Lint. She was an employee of the former O'Neils Store in Coshocton and the former Warsaw Farmers & Merchants Bank/Coshocton National Bank/Bank One of Warsaw. She was a member of the Warsaw United Methodist Church and a former member of the 20th Century Club at Warsaw. Betty enjoyed traveling.
She is survived by her husband, Clennis S. Besst, whom she married June 28, 1941. Also surviving are two sisters-in-law, Alice Mae Bender and Carolyn Besst of Coshocton; three nephews; and one niece.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Walter Lint; and a sister, Eileen Besst.
Funeral service will be Thursday, April 27, at 1:30 p.m. at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw with Rev. Chick Chanay officiating. Burial will be in the Prairie Chapel Cemetery. Visitation is Wednesday, April 26, from 5 to 7 p.m. and on Thursday until service time.
