SEARCY — Funeral services for Mr. Luther Oscar Searcy, 61, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Hardage-Krauss Southside Funeral Home, 4115 Hendricks Ave., with the Rev. Robert Boggs, officiating. Mr. Searcy, of 3121 Kline Rd., died Sunday from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Mr. Searcy, a native of Florala, Ala., had lived in Jacksonville since 1953, moving from Tallahassee. For the past 20 years, he had been a salesman with Langley Oldsmobile Co. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ann K. Searcy; a daughter, Mrs. Linda Stark; three sons, George, Fred and Jack Searcy, all of Jacksonville; five sisters, Mrs. Flossie Watson, of Tallahassee, Mrs. Kathleen Watson, of West Palm Beach, Mrs. Nettie Lowelle, of Moultrie, Ga., Mrs. Helen Blair, of Ocala, and Mrs. Mary Montgomery, of Tampa; five brothers, George Searcy, of Winter Haven, C.D. Searcy, of Leesburg, James B. Searcy, of Bayard, Ned P. Searcy, Jacksonville, and Paul Searcy, of Ashland, Ohio; five grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be L.A. Bradley, Joe Ramon, Herbert Collins, D.L. Collins, Chester L. Chamberlain and Robert E. Langley, III. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery.
