William R Burkholder, 76, of Sherman Stedman Road, Sherman, passed away Tuesday, Dec 30, 2014 at his home.
He was born July 29, 1938, in Middlefield, Ohio, the son of the late Reuben and Elma Schmucker Burkholder.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Burkholder of Sherman, NY; his children: Mark (Ruth Byler) Burkholder, of Knox, PA, Linda (Elmer) Byler of Middlefield, Ohio, Lora (Nathaniel) Miller of Sherman, NY, David (Cindy Byler) Burkholder of Panama, NY; 28 grandchildren; and eight great- grandchildren. He is also survived by four brothers; one sister; one stepbrother; and three stepsisters.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two stepfathers; one brother; one sister; and one step- brother; and three stepsisters.
The family will receive friends today at the David Burkholder residence 7145 Warner Road, Panama, NY.
The funeral will be held at 9:30 am Friday. Jan. 2, 2015, at 7145 Warner Road, Panama, NY, with Bishop Crist Detweiler officiating. Burial will be in the Panama Amish Cemetery.
Arrangements are being handled by the Spitzer Funeral Home, Sherman, NY.
