Conrad was born one of twelve children and grew up during the depression. He served on an aircraft carrier during WWII and the Korean War.
Conrad married Shirley Nilsson in 1948. They were married for 57 years and together they raised four daughters and two sons. They had 29 grandchildren, and 45 great grandchildren. He later married Anna Eddington.
He completed a Master’s Degree in Chemistry from BYU and was a Nuclear Chemist for the Department of Energy in Idaho Falls, Idaho.
Conrad was a faithful member of the LDS Church and served a mission in St. George, Utah. He served as a Stake Mission President and also served in a Bishopric.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Shirley Nilsson Willis, and his daughter Cindy Willis Grover. He is survived by his second wife, Anna Eddington, his two sons: Norman and Bill; three daughters: Kim, Connie and Christy; 29 grandchildren and 45 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 3, 2015 at the Santa Clara 6th Ward Chapel, 3815 West Rachel Drive, Santa Clara, Utah. Visitations will be held on Friday, January 2nd from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Metcalf Mortuary, 288 W. St. George Blvd., St. George, Utah and on Saturday, prior to services from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the chapel. Interment will be held at the Santa Clara Cemetery.
