Helen “Maw” Virginia Campbell Pritt, 79, of Hot Springs, Virginia died Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at Lewis Gale Hospital Montgomery in Blacksburg, Virginia.
She was born January 19, 1935 in Botetourt County, Virginia, the daughter of the late Selice “Pete” A. Campbell and Annie Beatrice Landis Campbell.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Melvin Pritt.
Mrs. Pritt was retired from the Homestead Resort laundry department with 33 years of service.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and a friend to all.
She is survived by two children, Donnie Pritt & friend Nancy Propst of Hot Springs and Wayne Pritt & wife Laura of Goshen, Virginia; 6 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; 6 sisters, Betty Morgan of Falling Springs, Virginia, Ruth Fix of Falling Springs, Ethel Smith & husband Lee of Hot Springs, Mary Lipscomb of Covington, Virginia, Juanita Montgomery of Covington, and Barbara Sizemore & husband Larry of Hot Springs; and a daughter-in-law, Shannon Pritt of Washington DC.
She was preceded in death by an infant daughter; a son, Kenny Pritt; two brothers, Selice “Bug” Campbell, Jr. & Charles E. Campbell.
A graveside funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 3, 2015 at Union Chapel Cemetery with Pastor Steve Shaver officiating.
The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. at McLaughlin & Young Funeral Home.
