Gilbert H. Donsbach, 81, of Seguin, passed away Dec. 21, 2005.
The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2005, in Goetz Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Dr. James C. Taylor officiating. Interment will follow in Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park.
Visitation will be held from noon until 9 p.m. Monday, Dec. 26, 2005, at Goetz Funeral Home, with the family receiving friends from 5 to 7 p.m.
Mr. Donsbach was born Sept. 12, 1924, in Kingsbury to Henry and Clara (Baumert) Donsbach. On March 22, 1952, he married Dorothy Woelke. He was an honorary life member of the Disabled American Veterans, member of VFW Post 9213 and American Legion Post 245.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Dorothy Donsbach of Seguin; daughter Karen Ann Dietert and husband Clinton of New Braunfels; son Paul Henry Donsbach and wife Diane of Seguin; grandsons Jason Paul Bloch of Seguin, and Cody and Cory Dietert of New Braunfels; granddaughters Nicole Elyse, Kelsey Anne and Carly Renee Donsbach, all of Seguin; sister Elsie Stautzenberger of Kingsbury; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Donsbach was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Clara Donsbach; sister Hertha Schulle, brother Edgar Donsbach and granddaughter Lauren Marie Donsbach.
Pallbearers are Walter Bargefrede Jr., Daniel Stautzenberger, Albert Menn, Fred Stautzenberger, Ronnie Rust and Ernest Hartman Jr.
Honorary bearers are Ernest Hartman Sr. and Terry Stautzenberger.
Memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
