Robert Parker Meek, 87, of Hilo, a retired middle school teacher in Washington and California, a private school principal, a Navy veteran of World War II and an Army veteran of the Korean War, died at home. He was born in San Mateo, Calif.
He is survived by wife Winifred “Lori,” sons Sean and Stephen, daughters Jeanette Strong and Judith Thompson, brother Kenneth Shanon, eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Committal services: noon Monday at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2. Casual attire.
