James Taylor "Jim" Steeley Sr was born on October 4, 1942 in Clarksville, Tennessee, the son of Clyde F Steeley (1905–1983) and Katie Mae (Harris) Steeley (1910–1983).
He was a member of the Guthrie Church of Christ and served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He was married to Dorothy -- and loved his family, landscaping and enjoyed helping others.
Jim was 72 years old and a resident of Guthrie, Kentucky when he passed away of natural causes on December 29, 2014 at the VA Hospital in Nashville.
Preceded in death by his parents, by sons Kenny Waldrop Steeley and James T Steeley Jr and by his daughter Missy (Steeley) Powers, he was survived by his wife, two daughters and a son-in-law, three brothers, three sisters, seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services were held at Guthrie Church of Christ in Guthrie, and burial was in Highland Cemetery in Guthrie.
