Clara was our Great-grandmother. Our father knew little about her and it's only been in the last several years that we've started to put together the pieces of her life. We have located her grave at Warm Springs State hospital and have placed a fitting memorial there for her.
What we know about Clara; Clara and our Great-grandfather, Fred Edward Buback, were married on August 16, 1899 in Dodge City, Kansas. They show up together in 1900 US Fed census Dodge City, Kansas. Their first two children, Juanita Agnes Buback and Wayne M. Buback were born in Dodge City. Later after moving to Helena, Montana, they had three more children, Ethel (Evelyn) Marie Buback Elge, our Grandmother. Then Florence Helen Buback Tracy and Frederick (Lewis Anthony) Buback. Clara and Fred divorced sometime around 1919 and both of them remarried soon thereafter.
All of Clara's children, except Evelyn, preceeded her in death.
