Danette Clark Horrocks, age 70, of Vernal, died at her home after a long hard four year battle with cancer. She was born June 26, 1944 in Vernal to Daniel & Helen Eva Warburton Clark. Danette worked as a secretary for the Utah Highway patrol and retired after 20 years. She loved to do her needlepoint, homemaking and spending time with her family. Danette loved playing cards with her card club. Over the last four years she spent many hours of driving with her loving brother and sister to the Dr.'s and for her treatments, many times the trips would take sudden stops along the way for a special little treat. She will be forever grateful for the care she received from her brother Bub and sister Chub. She is survived by her sons; Troy (Vanessa) Asmus and Jerry (Kelly) Asmus. Brother Kenneth Clark; sister Barbra (Gary) Moon, 9 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Blackburn Vernal Mortuary. Friends and family may call Monday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Burial will be in the Vernal Memorial Park. Services are under the direction of Blackburn Vernal Mortuary.
