He had joined the National Guard and was called into active duty, serving in the Pacific Theater during World War II.
After his discharge he worked for Andy Long and then began working at the Mill in Emmett.
Francis enjoyed flying radio controlled airplanes as a hobby.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Dwayne, who died during World War II.
Survivors include his two brothers, Lloyd E. Allen of Thaxton, VA and Glenn Allen of Argonia, KS; nieces, Pam (& Jerry) Brown, Deborah Stone, Dolores Goff and Joyce Allen.
Funeral services will be conducted April 14, 2006 at the Potter Funeral Chapel in Emmett, ID. Interment will be at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery in Boise.
