Diana was as born in Albany, Georgia, to the late Reed and Melita (Schriewer) Brechtel, one of two children. She married early in her life to Donald Abrameit and traveled the world with him during his U.S. Air Force deployments. They divorced while in Okinawa and she and her children returned to the States. Diana was a private person, raising her children alone until she married Larry Althiser in a simple ceremony in her mother's house. She worked at the Motorola plant in Seguin for many years and was a devoted member of Emanuel Lutheran Church in Seguin.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Kenneth Althiser, on June 15, 2003.
Survivors include her sons: Dennis Abrameit, David Abrameit, and Douglas Abrameit; grandsons, Matthew and Samuel; brother, Wayne Brechtel and his wife, Joanne; many other relatives and numerous friends. I17
