She married Jim Basgall on August 30, 1969.
She graduated from Marian High School in 1967. She spent many years working in the Catholic Schools, including St. Joseph's Parochial and Kennedy Middle School in Hays, Bishop Carroll High School in Wichita, and Nativity Parish School in Leawood. She was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Overland Park. She enjoyed golfing, relaxing at the lake, and spending time with her family, especially her two grandsons.
She is survived by her husband, Jim of Olathe; two daughters, Jodi Locke and husband Lance of Leawood, and Jill Sulser and husband Bryan of Denver; a son, Jason of Overland Park; two grandsons, Landon of Denver, and Brenner of Leawood; two brothers Dennis Pfannenstiel and wife Elaine of Hays, and Duane "Whitey" Pfannenstiel and wife Becky of Topeka; a sister, Gloria Koirth and husband Larry of Munjor; a sister-in-law, Firma Pfannenstiel of Wakeeney.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a twin brother, Norman, and two other brothers, Jim and Stanley.
Funeral Mass will be Friday, January 2nd, 2015, at 10am at St Joseph's Parish in Hays followed by a burial in St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery, Munjor. Visitation will be Thursday from 4 - 8pm and Friday from 9 - 9:30am at Brock's-Keithley Funeral Chapel at 2509 Vine St in Hays 67601. A rosary service will be held at 6:30pm Thursday followed by a parish vigil service at 7pm at the funeral home.
Memorials are suggested to Catholic Hospice of Kansas City or Thomas More Prep-Marian.
