Sarah Elizabeth Mosley was the only child of Thomas Jefferson Mosley and Annie Coley of [what was is now Wood] Gold Mine, Franklin County, NC

In the 1880 census, Sarah is shown as being 8 years old, thus being born abt 1872. Month and day are unknown.

Sarah married James Thomas Varker on 26 July 1888. She was 16. Thomas [b. in 1843] was actually 45 years of age.

James and Sarah had 2 daughters Mary [often called Mollie] and Elizabeth [Lizzie].

Sarah's exact year, month and date of death is unknown - other than 1900 census where James is shown as being widower. He and 2 daughters are living with his in-laws - TJ and Annie Mosley.

Sarah is buried in the Jones Family Cemetery [previously known as Mosely Family Cemetery] located at the end of Thomas Jones Road, Wood, Franklin County, NC. Her headstone is a stone, simply engraved with 'SEV' to identify her. Sarah's daughters are buried on either side of their mother.

The burial place of James Thomas Varker is believed that he may be buried in the same cemetery and will be placed there with his family until such time as another place might be found. Recently, a Stone - does not appear to be engraved - was found at the foot of Sarah's grave site that 'may' be for JTV; if it is found that it is not, it will be removed.
