Mary Virginia Acree, of Rolla, passed away Saturday, December 27, 2014 at the age of 99.
She was born in Mexico, MO on December 7, 1915 to the late John Richard Bonsall and Margaret Mae (Fisher) Bonsall. On April 21, 1935 she married Grover Barton Acree who preceded her in death on June 25, 1977. In addition to her parents and husband, Mary was preceded in death by her children, Grover Barton Acree II and Mary Margaret Acree Gaddy. She was also preceded in death by five brothers and five sisters. She will be greatly missed by her surviving family which includes her brother, Charles Bonsall, of Rockford, IL; daughter-in-law, Margaret Acree, of Jefferson City, MO; seven grandchildren, Grover Barton Acree III, Darrell Acree, William Miers, Jimmy Miers, Patty Mathis, Sharon Acree-Frausto, and Glenna Smith; eighteen great grandchildren; twenty-three great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and other extended family members. A funeral service for Mary Acree will be held at 10 am. Friday, January 2, 2015 at the Null & Son Funeral Home in Rolla. The interment and committal service will take place at 2 pm. Friday in the Callaway Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Fulton, MO. A visitation for family and friends will be held prior to the funeral beginning at 9 am. at the funeral home.
