She was born on 7/21/1934 in Hopkinton, the daughter of Herbert Roy and Cozetta Mae Allen Castle.

She married Donald L. Brown at First Baptist Church Rectory with Reverend Hess officiating.

She attended Potsdam Central School, and received a secretarial degree through Man Power Training. She was employed at Clarkson University for 28 years starting as a secretary and worked her way up to supervising different departments finally reaching Supervisor of Central Services before she retired.

Surviving were two daughters, Sandra and Donna; three sons, Michael, Trevelon and Patrick A. Brown; and adopted brother Gary W. Cassell; and 24 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband Donald, her son, David Leo Brown Sr., her granddaughter, Melissa Brown, her parents and her sister, Gertrude Robson, infant brothers Sonny and Donald.
