Michael was born on June 25, 1940, to Jet and Ross Murchison in the Old Ballinger Hospital. He graduated from Ballinger High and married Henryetta Dankworth on Feb. 14, 1964.
He worked at Dry Manufacturing for many years and later was elected as Runnels County Judge, and retired from office after 13 years of service.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a twin sister, Marcia Jones.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Etta Murchison of Ballinger; three children, Rebecca Murchison and John Wheeler of Aurora, Colo., Jessica Murchison of Ballinger and Michael Murchison of San Angelo; three grandsons, Joshua Wheeler, Ty Ross Murchison and Luke Wheeler; two brothers, A.R. (Pete) Murchison Jr. and wife Shirley of Ballinger, and Dick Murchison and wife Cindy of Picayune, Miss. Godchildren Tim, Wade and Lindsey Williams; and several nieces and nephews also survive.
