A life-long Eastside resident, Kay was born on April 23, 1938, to Elton and Martha Murphy. Kay is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 58 years, Winston, her children Susan (Richard) Timm, Sandra (Robert) Peterson, Jeanne (Joseph) Rosemeyer, Robert (Lydia Najera) and Julie (Stephen) Sheahan; grandchildren David, Jeffrey, Gregory, Jennifer, Andrea (Chris), Christina, John, Lydia, Madeline and Jack; and great-grandchildren Kira and Zoey. Kay is also survived by her sister, Mary Beck, 2 brothers-in-law, Gerald (Joanne) and Ronald Gross, sister-in-law Jane (Wally) Connaker and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Kay was a fun-loving gal who was devoted to her family and friends. Kay volunteered at Sacred Heart and Transfiguration parishes and was a 35-year employee at St. John's Hospital. She was loved by all and will be dearly missed. Mass of Christian Burial Monday, December 8, 11AM with Rosary Prayer Service 20 minutes prior at Transfiguration Catholic Church, 6133 15th Street North, Oakdale. Private Interment. Visitation Sunday, December 7, 2-5PM at Cerenity-Marian Center Chapel, 200 Earl Street, Saint Paul, and one hour prior to Mass. Luncheon to follow. Kay's family wishes to thank the kind and caring staff of Cerenity-Marian of Saint Paul for their dedication to making Kay's last days comfortable as she suffered from Parkinson's disease and Lewy body dementia.
