Dub and Wanda owned and operated Byler Motor Company from 1968 to 1981. He started Byler Dozer in 1979 and operated it with his son, Will, and wife, Linda, until his death.
He is survived by his wife, Linda, of Ballinger; his sons, Will Byler and his wife, Karen, of Ballinger and Wagner Byler of San Saba; his stepdaughters, Shamone Minzenmayer and her husband, Brian, of San Angelo and Shannon Parrish and her husband, Howard, of Arlington; 18 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brother, Wendell Byler and wife, Erma, of Bangs; sister, Sharolyn Byler Mullen and husband, Bruce, of Bangs; mother-in-law, Jerry Lloyd of Winters; an uncle, Arthur Doose of Gouldbusk; an aunt, Ruth Rathjen of Kerrville; a brother-in-law, Bob McDaniel and wife, Theresa; a special niece, Shy Ann Mayfield; and numerous other nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends also survive.
