Willie L. Cain died May 15, 2004, after a strong battle with cancer.

Willie was born April 27, 1936 in Prattville, Alabama. In 1946 Willie and his family moved to Seattle where he grew up and attended Bailey Gazert elementary and Garfield High school.

In 1953 he enlisted in the U.S. Air force and served his country for 4 years as an Aircraft Mechanic and Air Gunner in the Korean War. He was honorably discharged and received medals for Good Conduct and National Defense Services. Following discharge from active duty he continued service as a reservist in the Air force until 1961.

In 1958 Willie married Verna Williams with whom he had Four daughters.

He retired from the U.S. Postal Service where he worked as a Mail Carrier for over twenty years.

Preceded in death by parents Richard and Beatrice Cain, and sister Ethel Jones.

Surviving are his Brothers: Robert and Albert Cain, of Seattle; Son: Edward Ford of Seattle; Daughters: Michelle Walden and Yvonne Cain of Puyallup, Twyla Cain of Kent, and Renee Cain of Puyallup; Six Grandchildren: Tianna, Darell, Taisha, and Marshall Cain, Jasmine Walden, and Audasia Davis; one Great Grandchild; Mykel Bellecourt. Willie also had a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many, many friends.
