Donald was born and raised in Aurora, the son of John Reuland Jr and Elizabeth (Weber) Reuland Doyle and brother to Alice (Reuland) Schuler. He went to St Nicholas Grade School and East Aurora High School.
On July 9, 1933 Donald & Neva Harris were married at Sacred Heart Church in Aurora, IL. They had one child, Jackie who died at age four. Neva passed away in 1952 from cancer.
Don later married Helen Marie Reuland Aug 3, 1953 at St Joseph Church in Aurora, IL. Don & Helen had two daughters.
He owned and operated Reuland Cabinet Shop in the 50's and 60's where he built custom kitchen cabinetry and other wooden furniture. He later worked for Schmidt Realty in Aurora.
