Mrs. Allen passed away on Friday, June 20, 2014 at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center in Meridian. She was a retired school teacher for the Choctaw County Board of Education. She was a member of the First Methodist Church of Butler for fifty years.
Survivors include her husband Jesse Allen of Butler; son Steve Allen (Beth) of Butler; daughter Amy Doggett (Greg) of Butler; four grandchildren Jess Allen, Gentry Allen, Abby Allen, and Haley Doggett.
She was preceded in by her parents Arthur Harwell and Ebbie Lassiter Harwell; brothers Melvin Harwell and Osto Harwell; sisters Louise Perry, Margaret Woods, and Annaline Rushing.
Pallbearers are Tommy Harwell, Charles Harwell, Alan Miller, Kerry Norwood, Leo Allen, Joe Nettles, Tommy Dailey, and Steve Dial. Honorary pallbearers are The Ruth Evans Sunday School Class, Chester Harwell, Bubba Hampton, Ricky Miller, and Chris Miller.
