"J. W. Davis of Thorndale passed away at his home Friday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. Mr. Davis was born October 14, 1863 in Kentucky.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. J. W. Davis, of Thorndale; one son, James Wayland (sic) Davis of Fort Worth; one sister M. Smith of Kentucky; one brother Wilford Davis of Kentucky; four grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 3:00 o'clock at the Condra Chapel in Thorndale with the Rev. Clyde Majors officiating.
Burial was in the Thorndale cemetery."
