Will's parents were James B. Douglas and Matilda J. "Mattie" Lisenbe and their family is found on the 1880 U. S. Census of Lauderdale Co. Miss. beat 5. James was a carpenter. The census lists Them as follows:
James B Douglas 57, b. 1823 in N. Carolina
Mattie J. 38, b. 1842 in N. Carolina
James W. 22, b. 1858 in N. Carolina
Clarence L. 20 b. 1860 in Alabama
Willie J. 18 b. 1862 in Alabama.
Charley W. 14 b. 1866 in Alabama
Albert W. 8 b. 1872 in Mississippi
Johnnie L. 6 b. in Mississippi
Will was the head of his own household on the 1900 U. S. Census of Stephens Co. Texas, living in the Wayland Community listed as follows:

Willie Jasper Douglas married Eliza Alice Greenlee in Lauderdale Co. Miss. on Jan.21, 1886. Alice was a charter member of the Midway Baptist Church between Hickory and Decatur along with her mother and sister. When the Greenlees came to Texas around 1890, Will and Alice came also. They moved around some and then moved to Weatherford, Parker Co. Tx. where they lived some of their last years. Alice died Jan 10, 1919 and was buried in the city cemetery, Greenwood, but Will's grave is unknown. It may be he is buried next to Alice. He died 4-24-1926. Will's brother Ed, visited Texas in 1900 and had his picture made at Breckenridge.
