Joetha Ishmael, an 85 year old Trenton, MO resident passed away at 3:05 p.m., Thursday, December 11, 2014 at Eastview Manor Care Center in Trenton.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at Resthaven Mortuary of Trenton. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens. A scheduled visitation will be held from 6 to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday evening at Resthaven.
Joetha June Ishmael was born June 5, 1929 in Laredo to Otto and Beulah Sayers Gallatin. On September 3, 1950 she was united in marriage to Edgar Ishmael in the Crandall Evangelical United Brethren Church in Trenton. Joetha taught in rural schools during early adulthood and later worked in customer service positions in the community. She was an avid gardener, loved to share life and had a passion for puppies and children. She served faithfully in nursery ministry at both Grace Full Gospel Church and at Lighthouse Chapel. She was currently a member of Trenton First Assembly of God Church.
Surviving relatives include her husband, Edgar Ishmael of the home, a son Rodney Ishmael and wife DeVonna of Guatemala; 6 grandchildren Amanda Ishmael, Zach (& Kelsee) Ishmael, Kristina (& Ryan) Peters, David (& April) Ishmael, Nathan (& Heather) Ishmael and Joy (& Nathanael) Merrill; 9 great grandchildren Ava, Audrey, Aiden, Ashton, Elijah, Isaiah, and Ezekiel Ishmael, and Leila and Kylie Merrill.
Those preceding her in death include her parents, a son Rick Ishmael, and a brother Gerald Gallatin.
