Henry Kensing retired stockman and farmer of the Doss Community died at his home at Doss March 2 at 12:0 o'clock in the afternoon.
Deceased was born March 10, 1853. He attained the age of 84 years, 11 months and 28 days.
On March 11, 1876 he united in marriage with Miss Katherine Strackbein. They lived a happy married life and were able to celebrate their diamond wedding anniversary two years ago. Mrs. Kensing died April 8, 1936.
Surviving him are two sons, Alfred and Max Kensing, two daughters, Mrs. Louis Welge and Mrs. Alfred Durst, 10 grand, 4 great grandchildren, a brother Karl Kensing and a sister Mrs. Julius Lange, other relatives and a host of friends.
Two sons Otto and Frank Kensing, one brother and six sisters proceded him in death.
Rev. J. M. Bergner of the Doss Lutheran Church conducted the funeral services held at the residence of the deceased Friday, March 4 at 2 o'clock in the afternoon after which interment was made in a family cemetery.
The Doss church choir sang at the home and at the grave.
