Ruth Jackson, 81, of Winder, died Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2009. Born in Walton County, she was a daughter of the late Burse and Lillie Rowe Meadows and was married to the late James C. Jackson. A member of Union Baptist Church, she worked for David's Fine Foods for many years. Survivors are son, Calvin Jackson of Macon; daughters and sons-in-law, Carol and Steve Carter and Cathy and Jerry Montgomery, all of Winder; grandchildren, Celena Hooper and William and Ashley Jackson; great-grandchildren, Bryson and Abigail Jackson; and sister, Dot Broach of Monroe. Services were Thursday, Oct. 8, at 2 p.m. in Smith Memory Chapel with the Rev. Charles Walden officiating. Interment will be in Barrow Memorial Gardens.
