Darlene M. Bourret, 77, died Tuesday, Oct. 27 at home in Los Angeles, Calif.

She was born to the late Kenneth and Evelyn (Webster) Bourret on February
14, 1932 in Dubuque, Iowa, and grew up there.

Her family moved to Gilman in 1950. She married Gene Coots in Cornell in
1958. Darlene later divorced and moved to Los Angeles where she has lived
since.

Darlene was a registered nurse for over 40 years. She received her training at Finley Hospital in Dubuque. Over the years she specialized in obstetrics and mental health.

Darlene is survived by her daughter, Gail (David) Anderson of Lubbock, Texas; two grandchildren, Janette Anderson and Miguel Anderson; and many cousins and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and her stepfather, Hank Nelson.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, Nov. 5 at 11 a.m. at Gilman Funeral Home, with Revs. Howard and Bonnie Weber from St. John's Yellow River officiating. Burial will follow at the Donald Cemetery.
