     Diane Lou Barkubein (Hopkins), age 77, peacefully passed away surrounded by her family on December 20, 2014. She is survived by her beloved husband, Dallas Barkubein, children, Brenda Merriman, Gary and Jami (White) Merriman, Randall Merriman, her grandchildren Jason, Philip, Andrew, Calvin and Maxwell Merriman, and granddog Chloe, her brothers Stuart Phelan and Michael Phelan, as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Her brother Robert Hopkins preceded her in death.
     Diane graduated from Auburn High School in 1955. She enjoyed life and helping others where she could. She worked at Cugini Florist in Auburn for several years as a floral designer from which she retired.
     The funeral service was held at 11 AM, Friday, December 26th at Price-Helton Funeral Home in Auburn, Washington. The graveside service followed at 2 PM at Enumclaw Evergreen Memorial Park in Enumclaw.
