Visitation will be held on Monday, December 22, 2014 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home in Moss Point.
Mrs. Magee had a great love for her family, especially her husband of 63 years, Dr. Dennis Magee. She was a devoted, loyal and loving wife. She was also a caring mother to her three children, Don, Kathy and Denise, and a proud grandmother to her one-and-only granddaughter, Meredith.
Mrs. Magee was devoted to Temple Baptist Church. She had a great love for the Temple Church family. She served as a Sunday School teacher and a member of the Women’s Bible Study, hosting the group regularly in her home.
A homemaker, Mrs. Magee, was an exceptional cook and seamstress. She had a great love for people and fellowshipping with others.
A native of Scott County, she was preceded in death by her parents, J.E. Calhoun and Mary C. Aycock Calhoun; brother, Jack Calhoun; sisters, Glenda Calhoun Phillips and Sara Calhoun Currie; and her dog, Honey.
Survivors include her husband, Dr. Dennis Magee of Big Point; son, Don Magee and wife, Julie, of Mobile, Ala.; daughters, Kathy Magee of Mobile, Ala. and Denise Magee of Big Point; granddaughter, Meredith Magee of Mobile, Ala.; and sisters, Myra Harvey of Lake and Nett McClain of Vidalia, La.
