Mrs. Spencer was born June 23, 1916, in Sergeant Bluff, the daughter of Nels and Sofia (Severtson) Anderson. She was raised in Sergeant Bluff and graduated from Sergeant Bluff High School.
She married Gilbert C. Spencer on Dec. 31, 1938, in Sioux City. He died Dec. 3, 1985, in Olathe, Kan. She was a homemaker. The couple lived in Sergeant Bluff, until 1979, when they retired and moved to Port Charlotte, Fla. She moved to South Sioux City in 1986.
She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church.
She was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
