Arthur was a private hotel chef and a dairyman. He and Vianna were married by his grandfather, Rev. Frank Nathan Doughty. Arthur and Vianna had eight children: Timothy who was adopted; Frank, Jean, John, Faye, Richard, Stephen, and Barbara.
