Albert John was born the son of Clifford and Inez Webber Crandall on May 3, 1932 on Morris Rd, Mayville. He had three older brothers, Everett, Morris and Vincent.
Albert died in a motorcycle accident in 1949 when he was 17 years old. He was on his lunch hour in Westfield, and was on his way to Mayville to register his new motorcycle. Witnesses said he was traveling at a slow rate of speed, and that he didn't have a chance to avoid a vehicle which pulled out of a driveway directly in front of him.
Albert died of a fractured skull at Westfield Memorial Hospital four hours after the crash.
