Roy Herbert Massey BROKEN ARROW, OKLA. -
Roy H. Massey was born in Rock Hill, South Carolina on Wednesday, August 17, 1932, the son of Frank and Jessie (Fields) Massey. He died in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma on Wednesday, December 17, 2014. He was 82 years of age.
Roy was a graduate of Rock Hill High School in South Carolina. He served in the Navy. He worked for The Celanese in Rock Hill. He was also a builder and architect. He later became joint owner of H.M.H. Industrial Corporation. He married the former Miss Clara Gail Hannon on September 15, 1951, in Chester, South Carolina. They moved to Broken Arrow, Oklahoma in 1981. Roy enjoyed woodworking and gardening. He also loved to go fishing on the coast.
He is survived by his daughters, Tammy Parks and husband, Joey of Broken Arrow, Okla., Melaney Sweat and husband, Neil of Broken Arrow, Okla. and Angie Kelley and husband, Charles, of Broken Arrow, Okla.; grandchildren, Jerred and Kim, Jerrica and Todd, Jason and Holly, Jamie and Candra and Jessica and Jeremy; great grandchildren, R.J. and Heather, Savannah Gail, Kyle, Samantha Gail, Hunter, Autumn Gail, Abigail, Zoey and Rylee; great-great grandchildren, Tristan and Karsyn; sisters, Wilma Peebles of Rock Hill, S.C. and Louise Crocker of Rock Hill, S.C.; and brother, Buck Massey of Rock Hill, S.C.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife and one brother, Jack.
