Mom was grateful to Shirley Conte, who was like her sister, who helped her over many years and to Len Allred.
Joy loved fishing, cooking, traveling, gardening, antique doll making, antiqueing, and spending quality time with her family motorhoming or at Shaver Lake with her animals. The family lived in Sanger, Lake Tahoe, Big Sur, Fresno, and Shaver Lake during her life. She enjoyed trips to Europe, Canada, Mex- ico, Hawaii, Quartzsite, Eagle Lake and many states. She lived a life full of contentment and appreciation of the mountains and her loved ones.
Joy was a woman to be trusted and was known for that because many people asked her in confidence how and what they should do. She never betrayed that confidence. Joy had a pure heart and was always there to help someone without judging. She also liked diamonds, rubies, pearls, and her dogs and birds. She had a smile and a twinkle in her beautiful green eyes.
Joy was preceded in death her husband of 58 years, Joe Conte; and brothers, Jesse and Wesley Babb.
She is survived by members of both the Conte and DePasquale families, her children, Michael, Bruce, Craig, and Jennifer Allred; her grandchildren, Keren- sa, Joseph Trevor, Brandon, Cory, Ryan, Mitch and Preston; her great-grandchildren, Bayley, Bella, Waylon, November, Jazmyn, and Bravery; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held at Whitehurst, Sullivan, Burns & Blair Funeral Home on Friday, January 16, 2014 at 11:00 a.m.
