to the United States, arriving on
Dec. 18, 1893, at Ellis Island,
New York, with his
Aunt Magdalena (Koch) Letcher
(the sister of Rosa Koch),
and her husband Joseph Letcher and
their three children, Joseph Jr.
Alois, and Maria/Mary Letcher.
They settled in Naperville,
DuPage County Illinois, where
Joseph Koch (the brother of
Magdalena and Rosa Koch),
had a dairy farm.

was Joseph Albert Koch's cousin,
