Mr. David Nicholas Swiney, 71 of Dalton, passed away Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at his residence surrounded by loved ones.
David was a member of Grace Methodist Church. He enjoyed playing golf & watching Tenn. Vols. Football.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Noel Temple Swiney and Annie Neola Boggs; son-in-law, Robert Turley; grand-daughter, Christina Green.
Survivors include his loving wife, Nell Sluder Swiney of Dalton; sons and daughters-in-law, Timothy and Michelle Swiney of Sumter, SC, David Swiney and girlfriend Marcia Smith of Leesville, SC; daughters, Deborah Gail Turley of Albertville, AL., Tammy Katrina Veinot and fiancée Tony Johnson of Oakridge, Tenn.; brother and sister-in-law, Dale and Jennifer Sluder, of Chatsworth; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mr. David Nicholas Swiney will be held Saturday, December 20, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at Peeples Funeral Home with Joshua Swiney officiating. Interment will follow at Sumach Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from Friday from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
