Sybil I. Schaut, 95, of Iron Mountain., passed away on Monday, Nov. 24th at Freeman Health and Rehabilitation Community in Kingsford. Sybil was born on March 6, 1919 in Hopkinsville, Kentucky, daughter of the late Benjamin and Pernecia (Franklin) Hart . She has been a resident of this area for the past forty two years. Sybil enjoyed sewing, crochetting, doll making and gardening. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Arthur Clark and her second husband, Clifford Schaut. She was also preceded in death by stepsons, Garris, Duaine, Donald and James Schaut; stepdaughters, Connie DeBock and Jeanine Paquin; brothers, Franklin, Durward, Clayborn, Amplis and Buford Hart; sisters, Bonnie Caine, Florisa Davis, Thelma Maddox and Elvoree Peyton.Sybil is survived by her step daughters, Sharon Felice of Utica, MI and Betty (Lester) Paquin of Shelby Twp.; step daughters in law, Frances Schaut of Aurora, Patricia Schaut of Aurora and Sharon Schaut of Beecher; twenty five grandchildren; many great grandchildren and several great- great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 12th from 6:00pm to 7:00pm at the Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home. Memorial services will follow at 7:00pm on Friday at the funeral home.
