Elma Finger Whitmire was the third child of William H. and Mary B. Finger. She was the only child of the first five that lived to adulthood. Elma married Charles Edison Whitmire on June 6, 1916 in Cuyahoga county, Ohio. She never had any children and died in 1918. She was interred at Valley Chapel Cemetery on June 16, 1918.
