Brenda Arlene Shrader, 73, of Paris, Illinois, passed away at 8:00 p.m. Sunday, December 14, 2014, in the emergency room of Paris Community Hospital. She was a loving wife, homemaker, and had previously worked many years as an electronics engineer for the former Zenith Co. in Paris.
She was born May 28, 1941, in Paris, Illinois, the daughter of the late Roman "Hank" and Esther (Mullen) Alldredge. She married James "Oscar" Shrader on November 27, 1971, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Paris and he survives.
Survivors include a sister-in-law, Dorothy Shrader of Charleston, Illinois. She was preceded in death by two brothers-in-law, Eddie and John Shrader.
Mrs. Shrader was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of Paris. She was a wonderful homemaker and a talented artist. She enjoyed traveling by car and motorhome, visiting local festivals and motorhome rallies, camping, working in her gardens, and spending time making memories with family, friends, and her dog, Missy. She will be very much missed by those who knew her.
For those who wish, the family suggests that memorials be made to Grace Fellowship Church or to St. Mary's Catholic Church in Paris.
SERVICE INFORMATION A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Friday, December 19, 2014, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Paris with the Reverend Fr. David Zimmerman officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Templeton Funeral Home in Paris.
