Donald Bendixsen was born on June 17, 1934 to Earl and Eva (Clausen) Bendixsen in West Branch, Iowa. He proudly served in the US Marine Corps, where he was stationed in California from 1953 to 1955. He was united in married to Beverly Ahrens on July 7, 1956 in Iowa City. Donald worked at Square D Distributor as a manager. He then worked in transportation and retired in 2001 from Heaton Equipment. Donald was an avid bowler. He enjoyed auto racing, golfing, and especially spending time with his family. Donald will always be remembered for being a loving and wonderful husband, father, brother and grandfather.
