Albert ‘Bud' Blaha Jr., age 73 years, of rural Hillsboro, passed away on Saturday, March 4, 2006 at his residence.
He was born on September 2, 1932 to Albert and Amy (Roberts) Blaha in Vernon County, Wisconsin. He grew to adulthood in the Mt. Tabor area and attended the Dilly School. He was united in marriage to Verna Bliss on June 21, 1954 in Viroqua. She preceded him in death on October 8, 1988.

Bud also served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War era. He farmed and worked driving truck for several places; milk truck for Ervin Weber, working many years for Herbecks, and later for Mathy Construction.

Survivors include a significant friend, Sharon Burch; six sons, David of Hillsboro, Jerry (Kris) of Union Center, Dale (Melissa) of Hillsboro, Jeff of Stanley, Steve (Tracey) of Hillsboro, and Scott of Union Center; a daughter, Becky (Juan) Evangelista of Mauston; 20 Grandchildren; 3 Great-grandchildren; a sister, Helen (Joe) Lewis of Janesville; and a brother, Roger (Arlene) of Ontario. In addition to his wife, Verna; he was preceded in death by his Parents; brothers, Joe, Larry, and an infant; and a sister, Agnes Jones.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, March 8, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at the Picha Funeral Home in Hillsboro, with Rev. Alan Tripp officiating. Burial with military rites will be held in the Forest-Burr Cemetery near Hillsboro. Friends may call at the Picha Funeral Home in Hillsboro on Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m.
