OBITUARY Iron River Reporter June 4 1975 "Obituaries: Carl Lundwall"
Carl Lundwall, 80, Stambaugh township, passed away suddenly on Friday, May 30. He was dead on arrival at Iron County General Hospital.
Mr. Lundwall was born May 27, 1895 in Commonwealth, Wis., where he was reared. He had been a resident of Stambaugh township for over 60 years. He worked as a master mechanic for the M.A. Hanna Mining Company in the area mines and retired in 1960. Mr. Lundwall served in the US Army during World War I and on December 18, 1920, married the former Elizabeth Wester. He was a member of VFW, American Legion Reino Post 21, Iron County World War Barracks and of the Masonic Lodge.
Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Thomas (Susan) Ingold, Iron River; a brother, Walter Lundwall, Iron River; two sisters, Mrs. Carl (Margaret) Youngren, Stambaugh and Mrs. Helen Hendershot, Rochester, Mich.; 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. A daughter, Carol, preceded him in death in 1967.
Funeral services were on Monday, June 2 at 2 p.m. at Grace Covenant Church. The Rev. Philip Stenberg, pastor, officiated.
Duvall Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Funeral services for Carl Lundwall, 80, Stambaugh township, were on Monday, June 2 at Grace Covenant Church. Mr. Lundwall died on Friday, May 30.
Mrs. Clarence Lindahl sang "Dear to the Heart of God" and "Under His Wings" accompanied by Mrs. Paul Wilson, organist. The Rev. Philip Stenberg, pastor, officiated.
Honorary pallbearers were Selmo Gasperini, Tony Rosetti, Jack Quayle, Jack Hill, Lawrence LaRochelle, Frank Nordling, James Collins, Art Martini, Clyde Shovald, Walter Swanson and Harry Thornberg.
Active pallbearers were Oliver, James and Dan Wester, Carl and Spencer Lindbeck and Clayton Youngren.
Interment was in Stambaugh Cemetery.
Duvall Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

The second annual Old-timers Dinner, honoring veteran employees of The M.A. Hanna and affiliated companies with fifteen or more years of continuous service, was held August 15 in the Stambaugh high school gymnasium.
Twenty-five-year pins and certificates were presented to (several including) Carl Lundwall.
