Emmett Tannehill Brice was the son of Samuel McVitty Brice and Clara Mae (nee: Tannehill) Brice. Emmett carried the nickname of "Red" during his lifetime. Emmett was one of two children born to his parents. Emmett married Christine Mary Brooks on 19 Jan 1919 in Liverpool, Lancashire, England, during the 1st World War. Emmett and Christine had two children, Emmett Terrence Brice (1919) and Kenneth Brooks Brice (1921). Emmett served in WW1 enlisting as a Private. Following the death of his first wife in 1931, Emmett took a 2nd wife, the Widow Mary A (nee: Chamberlain) Selvidge. Emmett served in WW2 as a Warrant Officer.
