Wedding of Charles and Claudia
McDaniel-Graham
On Wednesday evening, December
24th, at 6:30 o'clock, Miss Claudia Mc-
Daniel was married to Mr. Charlie Graham. The wedding took place at the
home of the bride's father, Mr. W.
McDaniel, and was one of the prettiest
affairs of the winter. Mr. Melvin
McDaniel, brother of the bride, and Miss
Carrie Blaylock entered the parlor,
taking positions to the right and left
under the beautiful white arch, from
which suspended a white bell. The
bride and groom came next and were
met directly under the bell by Rev.
Syler, where the words were spoken
that united them. Miss Vera Deck
presided at the organ, and beautifully
rendered the wedding march. The
bride was lovely in her wedding gown
of snow white messaline, with lace
trimmings, and shoes and gloves to
match. The groom was handsome in a
dark blue suit. The house was artis-
tically decorated in white and green.
In the parlor, the mantle was a bank of
Ferns, in front of which the arch was
formed; on each side ribbon was ar-
ranged from arch to windows. The
relatives of the groom sat on the right
while the bride's relatives were placed
on the left. After the wedding the
guests were invited into the dining
room, where an elegant super was
served. Mrs. Graham is a girl of beau-
tiful Christian character, and numbers
of her friends by her acquaintances.
Mr. Graham is the son of the late
David B. Graham, and belongs to one
of the old families of Catoosa County.
Many beautiful and useful presents
were displayed in the hall, attesting to
the love of friends and relatives for
the bride and groom. On Christmas Sun-
day Mr. And Mrs Graham were tender-
ed an "Infair" dinner by Mr. and Mrs.
Doc Wagner,of Lytle. After the
holidays Mr. And Mrs. Graham
will go to housekeeping on their farm
near Beaumont.
