ALTIERI, ANNA M., 76, of Greenville Avenue, passed away Saturday, February 26, 2005 at Cortland Place in Greenville. Born in Providence, she was the beloved and devoted daughter of the late Eugenia (Carcieri) DeCubellis and the beloved and devoted stepdaughter of the late Arduino DeCubellis and the daughter of the late Antonio Altieri.

Living with a physical impairment from birth, Anna sought to further her knowledge and independence through many years of tutoring and studying. The skills she acquired enabled her to hold the position of Corresponding Secretary for the Merriettes, a club for the handicapped, from 1954 to 1994.

She loved listening to Italian music and speaking the language. She cherished and was forever grateful to her dear sister, Melinda, for all the care she gave her.

She is survived by a brother, Alfred DeCubellis, of Florida; four sisters, Melinda Tacelli, of North Scituate, Phyllis Parente, of Smithfield, Helen Jardine and Angela Thompson, both of Florida and many nieces and nephews.

Sister of the late Frederick, William and Anthony Altieri, Viola Grillo and Margaret Macedonio.

Burial in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
