Sarah was the second wife of Hiram Buckingham. Hiram with his first wife Margaret Kincaid and their new born son George traveled to Yamhill County with Hiram's sister Mary Elizabeth Buckingham and Mary's husband Thomas Madison Hines and their infant son Cicero Hines.
The two families settled in what was North Yamhill in Yamhill County.
After the death of Hiram's first wife Hiram married Sarah and the couple settled on the family farm which was next to Pike Cemetery. There Sarah and Hiram had son Thomas Charles Buckingham.
On Nov 6 1854 Sarah lost Hiram. She was left alone to raise two young sons. Two years later Sarah would marry man named Isaac Davis. The couple never had any children. Isaac would raise the two boys as his own. He would later leave the family farm to Thomas. Thomas would sell the farm and would move in to town and become the mayor of Yamhill and later on moved to Idaho.
Sarah lived with Thomas and his family until her death on Sep 7 1886.
