James Eugene Kelley, age 77, passed away on Friday, December 12, 2014, at AnMed Health Medical Center.
Born in Central, SC, on July 17, 1937, he was the son of the late Eugene Kelley and the late Rose Ellen Kelley. Jim was a former route supervisor with Coble Dairy and was the retired owner of Waldrop's Restaurant. He was a dedicated husband, father, and grandfather. Family was very special to him. He was a member of Second Wesleyan Methodist Church, Central, SC.
He is survived by his loving wife, Wanda Waldrop Kelley; two sons, Ricky Kelley of Pendleton, SC and Ken Cooley and his wife Kim, of Simpsonville, SC; a brother Alfred Kelley and his wife Cora, of Central, SC; a sister, Grace Miller, of Central, SC; two grandchildren, Kasey Cooley and wife Taylor and Kayla Pack and husband Kyle; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Ann Harris.
The Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home on Sunday, December 14, 2014 at 3:30 p.m. with Reverend Jim Riggins and Reverend Andrew Collins officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
The family will be at the residence and will receive friends at the funeral home, prior to the service on Sunday, from 1:30 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
